BRIGADOON ESTATE

In the movie of the same name, Brigadoon is said to be a mythical village in the Scottish highlands which only appears on Earth once every hundred years for a day. The village was so "blessed" in answer to the prayers of the local priest who wanted to save the village from earthly strife.

However, we know that Brigadoon is actually an idyllic village, free from earthly strife and remote from reality, in OSGrid.

The "real" Scottish Brigadoon is the "Brig o' Doon", a bridge located near Alloway, south of Glasgow. It is the setting for the last verse of Robert (Robbie) Burns' poem "Tam O'Shanter". River Drifter walked across that bridge in 2019 as part of a road trip around Scotland, but didn't see any of the witches mentioned in the poem.
According to the Webster Dictionary, Brigadoon is "a place that is idyllic, unaffected by time, or remote from reality."
